The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde (CTGR) maintains miles of hiking trails and campgrounds around the community for everyone to enjoy. Located in the Oregon Coast Range, one of the wettest places in the U.S., Grand Ronde’s precipitation keeps the land fertile and lush.
This community is named for the French translation of “Grande Ronde,” which literally means “fine large valley.” The climate in this valley is fairly temperate year-round, with regular mild winters and dry summers. We invite you to visit Grand Ronde, only 65-mile drive from Portland and on the way to the beautiful Oregon Coast.
